Why Marula exists
A family shaped by
the open road.
We are a family that loves the open road. Long before Marula, we were packing vehicles, crossing Zambia, setting up camp and waking to the kind of views that make an early start worthwhile.
Over the years there have been many vehicles, many camp set-ups and many lessons learned — usually far from home. Those journeys taught us what genuinely matters: a reliable vehicle, sensible equipment, honest advice and the confidence that help is there if you need it.
Marula grew naturally from that experience. It is our way of sharing the freedom of self-drive travel while making the practical side feel calm, considered and professionally handled.

We also run a luxury travel business, planning high-touch journeys for travellers who expect every detail to be right. Yet when we travel ourselves, we still love the independence of a 4x4, a rooftop tent and a route with room to change.
